Advocating for Safer Digital Platforms

#ShePersisted works in coalition with women leaders, international institutions, and networks to advocate for the creation of better standards for digital platforms. We have been collaborating  with the OECD, the OSCE, and the UNDP to inform solutions to gendered information attacks globally and are advisors to the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), Equimundo, the High Level Expert Group Meeting on Democratic Resilience in Eastern Europe and the Council of Europe, among others.

In Europe, we have been successfully advocating for a mandatory risk assessment for “the right to gender equality” within the EU Digital Services Act, in coalition with a broad range of organizations and experts. We released a #WomenTooDSA video campaign, which was featured by Politico.
